People in Trouble reissue
I won the rights to this out of print 1980s New York novel after reaching out directly to renowned author and activist Sarah Schulman.
Having secured the deal to bring People in Trouble back into print, I consulted on the cover, commissioned a new afterword from Sarah Schulman, wrote the blurb and marketing messaging, and pitched the book to colleagues across Vintage. -

Derek Jarman series
I spearheaded the reissue of four of Derek Jarman’s non-fiction titles for Vintage Classics, starting with the cult classic Modern Nature.
I commissioned and edited new introductions for each title, working with big hitters including Olivia Laing and Ali Smith.
As well as consulting on the covers I also wrote the blurb and marketing copy for all four titles. -

Marketing
During my three years at Penguin Random House, I wrote marketing copy for dozens of fiction and non-fiction titles.
This included writing snappy blurbs, sourcing praise from other writers, selecting SEO keywords for online search and creating one-pagers for retailers summarising the main selling points.
